This unusual statue features hand painted face and details such as fingernails and eyelashes, cloth veil, and golden halo. On her wrist is a jar of holy water. In the other is the aspergillum (holy water sprinkler) by which she subdued the tarasque (serpent at her feet) of the Rhone region in Southern France where she settled in later life and where her relics can be found.
